This public website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. It has no account system, checkout, mailing-list sign-up, or added analytics scripts. Fonts and product artwork are served with the site.
Cloudflare may process standard connection and request information, such as IP addresses, URLs, timestamps, and browser information, to deliver, secure, and diagnose the website. Worker observability is enabled with sampled request logging. Browser and hosting infrastructure may still retain standard operational records.
Interactive features
The console demo uses sample data. Search, category toggles, compatibility choices, and prepared support notes run in your browser. The site does not submit those inputs to a server, connect to your router, or access a HomeGuard device. Demo state resets when the page is reloaded; the site does not intentionally store these inputs in browser storage.
Copy buttons write the selected text to your clipboard when you activate them. There is no contact-message submission service on this site.
The HomeGuard device
The reviewed development firmware processes DNS queries sent to the device and can maintain device records, groups, rules, ordinary query history, and important-event notifications. Some settings and notification records persist in internal flash; ordinary query history is described as volatile in the development documentation.
DNS requests can reveal domain names. They do not provide the contents of encrypted messages or a complete record of pages visited. Devices and addresses may be reassigned, so historical device attribution is not guaranteed.
Upstream services and the local console
Allowed DNS requests may be forwarded to configured upstream DNS resolvers. Development firmware also uses time synchronization and a connectivity probe to a public endpoint. These providers can process connection or query information under their own policies. The project is not described here as entirely offline.
The reviewed local console uses HTTP, so its traffic is not encrypted on the LAN. Keep it on a trusted private network, use a unique administrator password, and never expose it through internet port forwarding.
Before a product launch
A final product privacy notice, verified operator contact details, retention information, and any service-specific terms must be published before a commercial launch or collection of customer information. The device information above describes reviewed development source and may change with firmware.
